Climb in the Yorkshire Dales

Currently we’re updating these pages as we adapt our Risk Assessment and Operating procedures for COVID 19. However we are open for business as of the 1st June for small parties, families and individuals. Please follow the link to our main page and email us with any queries or give us a call.

The Yorkshire Dales offers a number of great opportunities for climbing. You can choose from a number of limestone crags across the region or take on the grit stone north of Leeds and Pately bridge, even head indoors. There are many opportunities and one of our instructors can coach and lead you through the skills of belaying safely or coach you in movement on the rock.

The skill needed is minimal at the start but the adventure and trust is high and with a few minutes instruction you can grown in confidence and make that ascent.

Climbing is suitable for most, but sometimes accessing the sites can involve a bit of scrambling over rocks or a bit of a steep climb. We’ve had as young a 6 years old giving it a go.
